Hirsch Summary
A newly appointed Shochet (ritual slaughterer) in Amsterdam was unaware of the local practice regarding Trefah (kosher) lung inspection, which deviated from the standard usage. Consequently, he declared a lung with irregularities (threads connecting the two lung lobes out of order) as permissible for use. The animal was slaughtered, and its parts were distributed to various butcher shops. These parts were put up for sale on Friday. However, on Friday afternoon, the Shochet's lack of knowledge became apparent. Jona Abarbanel rules that considering the timing of discovery and the distribution already made to different shops and households, the matter need not be pursued further.
