Hirsch Summary
A person, completely destitute after a shipwreck in a foreign city, accepted a ring with a valuable gemstone from their cousin as a Kiddushin (engagement) for their daughter. Doubts arose about whether the daughter was already born at the time of the Kiddushin. Since her mother had died during childbirth, the exact birth date was not remembered due to the commotion. Twelve years later, when the cousin wanted to marry his wife, the father denied the validity of the Kiddushin. The cousin's poor reputation as a son-in-law was the reason. Dr. David b. .
