Hirsch Summary
A had lent B 100 dinars on a pledge. They later quarreled and did not speak to each other for many years, including about the repayment of the loan. After A's death, his heirs wanted to settle the debt recorded in the deceased's books against the pledged items. B claimed that a tallit made of fine white wool was missing among the pledged items, arguing that the other items were worth barely 50 dinars. The creditors countered that A, due to their previous friendship and the possibility of resuming good business relations, should not be so petty. Aron Ledesma ruled in favor of A's heirs. (see 510)
