Someone rented a house from the Jewish community for a year and paid the rent in advance. When rents became expensive, the community demanded either additional payment or eviction. If he chose to vacate, the community would refund the portion of the rent that corresponded to the remainder of the year. Isaac ben Jacob Henriquez Faro declared the contract unalterable.
