Hirsch Summary
A, who owed B a sum of money, assigned a debt to a non-Jew and also gave him a guarantee letter for the receipt of the money. Years later, B's heirs found the guarantee letter in the estate and demanded payment from A. A demanded proof that the non-Jew had not paid. Isaac Henriquez Faro places the burden of proof on A.
