Hirsch Summary
A man, on his deathbed, left various bequests for poor relatives. Only his wife and two adult sons were present; three younger children were not in the room. The guardians of the three young children contested these bequests, claiming they were disproportionately large compared to the rest of the estate. They suspected collusion between the wife and adult sons. Moses Alvares ruled that the two adult sons should pay the gifts proportionally from their share of the inheritance, but the guardians need not do so for the minors. See reference 38. (and 552).
