Hirsch Summary
A merchant in Amsterdam sent a shipment of goods to their business associate in Egypt. The merchant instructed the associate to use the proceeds to load the ship with pepper for the return journey. However, upon the ship's arrival from Amsterdam, the associate immediately loaded a different ship that was conveniently available with wax, expecting better sales for the friend in Amsterdam. Unfortunately, the ship sank with its entire cargo. Isaak Saruco holds the Egyptian merchant responsible for the loss. Cited source: 443. Refer to 52, 600. (see also 706)
