Hirsch Summary
Two merchants who had a long-standing business relationship had a dispute. They chose two judges for the purpose of arbitration, with the judges' decision being final. Since the judges couldn't agree among themselves, they selected an arbiter to settle the matter. The losing party refused to accept the arbiter's judgment, claiming they had only agreed to accept a ruling from the two judges. Isaak Henriquez Faro declares the arbiter's decision binding, provided that the arbitrators were chosen by the parties as judges, not as mediators. Refer to source 707.
