Hirsch Summary
A Tallit made of two pieces of fabric was torn at the seam. The question is whether, after sewing it back together, the fringes (Schaufaden) need to be renewed. Abraham Fernandes rules that the fringes of one half should indeed be renewed. The owner should first untie them and then sew the pieces back together. (see 87, 617, 843, 861)
