Hirsch Summary
An inquiry arises about how a Jewish person can lend ten three-percent shares of a state lottery to another without causing harm to themselves or violating Torah usury laws. Physician David ben Jacob de Meza permits such a transaction only if the borrower already possesses at least one lottery ticket. In that case, fractional interest payments can also be calculated.
