What is the procedure if the daughter also appoints her father to accept the kiddushin (betrothal) on her behalf? 3. Can the father serve as a witness for the kiddushin? Jacob ben Salomo de Meza affirms the first point and denies the third. [It seems he does not explicitly address the second question. However, it appears practically unfeasible, as one of the parties would presumably need to be present at the betrothal location.]
