Hirsch Summary
Two brokers, A and B, served as intermediaries for a trading house. They entered into a contract to share their profits for an indefinite period. After two years, A fell out with the trading house. The house wanted nothing more to do with him and even told B that it would waive his services if he gave anything from his profit to A. Solomon Jessurun decides that the contract between A and B, whether it was for a specific or indefinite period, is terminated. However, efforts should be made to reconcile A with the trading house, and then the contract between A and B should be reinstated.
