Hirsch Summary
Upon receiving an inheritance of 2000 florins from his deceased grandfather's estate, the grandson vowed to give a tenth of the profit he would make with the money to charitable causes. He was unsure whether he could offset the profit and loss against each other in advance. Jacob de Tovar decides that he may do so.
