A merchant went on a business trip and forgot to take his Tefillin. In the inn along the way, he met a Jewish scholar, to whom his servant had packed only the Rabbenu Tam's Tefillin. Are the scholar and the merchant allowed to put them on and recite the prescribed blessings? David ben Abraham Franco Mendez decides that both may put them on but should not recite the blessings.
