Hirsch Summary
A presented a debt document to the Beth Din, containing an obligation of B. B does not dispute its authenticity. However, he says that he handed the document to a messenger who was supposed to deliver it only upon receipt of goods of equivalent value; however, the messenger negligently handed over the document without receiving the goods. Joseph Piza condemns B; even if the messenger were to confirm B's account, the testimony of the messenger is only as that of a witness.
