Hirsch Summary
Someone, already having daughters with his wife, took a second wife to have sons. The first wife demanded her dowry back; the man wanted to deduct from that sum the gifts she had given to their daughters upon their marriage, in addition to the dowry he had paid. Jacob ben David Fidanque rules that the woman can only demand the dowry if the man divorces her; then, however, she is entitled to the entire sum.
