Hirsch Summary
Someone appointed a manager for his open goods and provisions store when he had to embark on a long sea voyage. He explicitly released him from the manager's oath. However, the owner never returned. A Jew brought the news that the man had been found dead and buried. The heirs subsequently demanded an account and oath from the manager. They argued that the previous waiver didn't apply to them. Moses ben Samuel Israel rules in favor of the heirs.
