PEH608
Hirsch Summary
An old man, even in his declining days, gave most of his estate to his sons. However, he retained a portion for himself and designated gifts for the poor from it. He also instructed his sons to give certain amounts to named relatives after his death. After his death, the relatives came to collect their gifts, but the heirs refused, claiming that the gifts were not legally valid. Jacob ben David Fidanque supports the heirs' decision.
