PEH606
Hirsch Summary
Someone bequeathed to his brother a supposedly existing chest full of treasures held by an acquaintance. The rest of his estate was to be distributed by a friend for charitable purposes, specifically for the provision of orphans and as alms. Since the chest could not be found, the brother wanted compensation from the remaining estate. The friend in charge of distribution refused any compensation, stating that he must allocate the money according to his discretion. David ben Raphael Meldola supports the friend's decision.
