In some cases, enumerated by Maimonides someone who has caused a woman's divorce as a judge or witness may not marry her, but his son may. Similarly, a Cohen who testifies that a woman who was in captivity was not touched there may not marry her. Whether the son of the Cohen may do so, Maimonides does not say. Samuel ben Salomo a Catan believes that Maimonides permits the son of the Cohen to marry her.
