In some cases, enumerated by Maimonides someone who has caused a woman's divorce as a judge or witness may not marry her, but his son may. Similarly, a Cohen who testifies that a woman who was in captivity was not touched there may not marry her. Whether the son of the Cohen may do so, Maimonides does not say. Samuel ben Salomo a'Cathan believes that Maimonides permits the son of the Cohen to marry her.
