Hirsch Summary
Dedication Page with Special Mention of Rabbi Isaak Chajim Abendana de Britto: Inquiry by Salomo a Catan: A gathered with their three servants B, C, and D and suddenly expressed a wish. A wanted C and D, who were unmarried, to marry B's two daughters. C and D mentioned that they had nothing of value to give as a sign of marriage to B for his underage daughters. A took two gulden and gave them to B, stating that this was a sign of betrothal for B's daughters to C and D. B then wished C and D good luck for the wedding. C and D did not respond; they had also remained silent in A's presence. Two years later, when the two girls became eligible for marriage, B wanted to marry them to C and D. However, C and D refused; they had only remained silent earlier to avoid losing their position but had no intention of marrying the girls. Moses ben Samuel Israel decides that both girls must receive divorce documents from C and D.
