Hirsch Summary
A parchment sheet of a Torah scroll contained five columns, with the middle column having writing errors in the names of God that could not be corrected. The question was raised whether this column could be cut out and the remaining columns used, even though normally no fewer than three columns should be written on a sheet. Chija Cohen de Lara considers the replacement of the column to be permissible. See also 199 (and 742).
