Someone bequeathed 10,000 florins to each of his four sons and 30,000 florins to his wife. If the child that the wife carried under her heart at the time of his death was a son, he should receive 10,000 florins; if it was a daughter, she should receive 5,000 florins. The remainder should be divided among the brothers. The wife gave birth to a son and a daughter. Aron Ledesma ruled that the daughter should receive 5,000 florins, and each of the five sons should receive one-fifth of the remainder, which amounts to 9,000 florins each.  . (see also 526)
