Hirsch Summary
According to the conditions of his marriage contract, a husband was obligated to return half of his wife's dowry to her heirs if she died childless. The woman died after giving birth to a fully developed child, and three days later, her father, whose only descendant was the grandchild, also passed away. This child died seven days later. Jona Abarbanel grants the husband both the contested half of the dowry and the inheritance from the father-in-law. A very similar case is presented as Inquiry No. 6. Refer to section 851.
