Hirsch Summary
A entrusted some assets to his son B from his first marriage. When he asked for them back, B refused to return them and instead offset them against the Kethuba of his deceased mother. After prolonged dispute, B finally returned the items. Unable to bear this incident, A disinherited B on his deathbed in favor of his half-brothers C and D. After the father's death, B demanded the Kethuba of his mother. The second wife, who was the mother of C and D, had also received her Kethuba. B wanted to share the rest of the paternal estate with his brothers C and D. Moses Gomez de Mesquita explains that while B has no claim to his mother's Kethuba, he is entitled to an equal share with C and D. .
