Hirsch Summary
A gave B, who lived overseas, the task of purchasing specific goods for him. However, B believed that other goods would be more profitable, so he deviated from the task. B dispatched the goods as instructed. However, they never reached their destination, as robbers attacked the transport along the way and took everything. A demanded compensation from B for the loss because he deviated from the task. B argued that deviating from the task was not causally related to the resulting damage. Moses Gomes de Mesquita denies the obligation to compensate. (see 301, 443, 600, 706)
