Hirsch Summary
A man had given jewelry to his son, ostensibly for the purpose of adorning the son's bride on their wedding day. However, the jewelry remained in the son's possession. The question arises whether the wife can retain the jewelry against the ketubah (marriage contract). Samuel ben Salomon a'Cathan affirms this possibility. See references 77, 293, 520, and 618.
