Hirsch Summary
Someone lent his first-marriage son - the wife was dead - a sum of money. When repaying, the son wanted to retain the Kethuba; but since the father was not satisfied with this, the son paid back the entire amount. Nevertheless, there remained discord between father and son, so that the father disinherited the son in favor of the two sons of the second marriage. The son now demanded the Kethuba of his mother after the death of the father, while his stepbrothers interpreted the repayment of the entire loan as a complete waiver of the Kethuba. The second wife, who was still alive, had received her Kethuba. The respondent awards the son of the first marriage the Kethuba of his mother and the same inheritance share with his stepbrothers. The questioner also does. See No. 73. 4 pages.
