Hirsch Summary
In a discussion, there was a debate about the origin of "Keri" and "Kethib." "Ez-Chajim" was asked to provide an opinion. David ben Raphael Meldola, in continuation of his exposition under No. 716, mentions that he could not further print his book "Darkei David." In this book, which exists as a manuscript for the entire Pentateuch, he delved into every "Keri-Kethib" discrepancy and explained it. The differences, he asserts, do not stem from inaccuracies in the transmission that Ezra may have encountered but trace back to Moses himself, who received the Torah with these oral supplements.
