Considering that the custom of the double portion of inheritance for the firstborn has almost entirely fallen out of practice, the question arises whether the custom still holds validity. Solomon Jessurun affirms it. Page 61 is missing; whether it existed at all is uncertain, as the custodian for pages 60-63 is also not in order.
