Hirsch Summary
Is the father of a widow, who has fallen to the lot of a brother-in-law intending to perform Chalitzah, allowed to arrange a new marriage for her even before the Chalitzah? Salomo Jessurun recommends finalizing the decision regarding the new marriage only after the Chalitzah. An excerpt from a manuscript features a dialogue by Rabbi Moses Luzatto on the words: "And they saw the God of Israel" (Exodus 24, 10).
