Hirsch Summary
In a Chewra, which collectively performed the morning prayers in a private house every Saturday morning, the custom was to read aloud to the 'Maphtir', but not the conclusion of the current weekly portion, rather the beginning of the upcoming portion, as one does on the Sabbath for the Mincha prayer. It is asked whether this is permissible and what consequences it would have for the blessing over the Torah, etc. Jacob Ferrares considers the custom to be impermissible; apart from that, there is an obligation to read the beginning of the upcoming weekly portion for Mincha.
