Hirsch Summary
A wealthy man had given his eldest daughter a considerable dowry. The second daughter was already engaged when her father died. Since his fortune had greatly increased since the marriage of the older daughter, the younger one did not want to have the same dowry as her sister but instead a tenth of the estate. Jacob ben Salomon de Meza rejects her claim to anything more than the dowry of her older sister.
