Hirsch Summary
Inquiry regarding an apparent contradiction in Maimonides' writings: Maimonides teaches: If someone wears a Kilayim garment, he commits only one transgression against the prohibition all day. However, if he takes his head out of the garment and puts it back in, or if he is warned about the prohibition, he commits a transgression each time. But concerning impurities, Maimonides decides differently, meaning there is always only one transgression. Samuel Mendez de Sola sees the difference in that in the second case, the individual does nothing to increase impurity by remaining, while in the first case mentioned, he performs an action, whether putting on the garment again or not removing the garment at all.
