Hirsch Summary
Someone had sworn to his wife, as is customary, not to take another wife during her lifetime. The man went overseas for economic reasons and found employment there as a judge. He asked his wife to join him, but she refused to leave her birthplace and family. Can the man force his wife to relocate? Is he, if necessary, released from his oath? David ben Abraham Franco Mendez decides that the wife must follow her husband; if she does not, the man is released from his oath. The missing pages 66 and 67 are probably due to a counting error, as page 69 follows again. Also, following the custos 37 (at Response 29), number 39 appears twice.
