Hirsch Summary
A, an Amsterdamer, owed money to B in London. The debt was documented. Since A had a credit with C in London, B had a lien placed on it by the Beth Din. During this time, A died, and his widow wanted the money for her ketubah. Moses Rodrigues Lopes decides that the widow can only satisfy herself for the ketubah, but not for the dowry in advance from the credit. Another prerequisite is that the credit existed before the loan was taken.
