Hirsch Summary
A owes B 100 minas, which A could not immediately repay. Therefore, they swore to each other the following: A would give B a pawn that B would return to A every Sabbath. A should repay one mina every week. When, out of pity, B allowed A to keep the pawn even during weekdays, A stopped repaying his debt. He said he couldn't do it anymore. Furthermore, the oath was allegedly annulled by the partial renunciation of B. Abraham Fernandez considers this explanation absurd, citing Parach Matte Aron Resp. 93 and Rab. Levi Ibn Chabib Resp. 137. Cf. 949.
