Hirsch Summary
A man from a noble family in Sepphoris died of "Alda." (????? ??"???) He left behind a widow and two daughters. One daughter married a cousin in Sepphoris with the consent of her mother and guardian. The mother then married a widower from Tiberias, moved there, and took her second daughter with her. Her current husband had a son from his first marriage. The mother promised her second daughter to her stepson. The relatives in Sepphoris objected to this - the guardian had since died, and a new one had not yet been appointed - and the local Beth Din also objected, as the young man led a bad life. Moses ben David Rodrigues Lopes supports this objection, referring to the response of Samuel de Medina (II, 107).
