Hirsch Summary
Someone had sworn to his wife that if he were to marry a second wife alongside her, he would give 500 guilders for charitable purposes. When he acquired the brother's wife through levirate marriage and married her, the leaders of the charities demanded the promised amount. Moses ben Israel orders the man to pay since he had the choice to either take the levirate wife or perform Halitzah.
