Hirsch Summary
A lent B 400 guilders and received a Torah scroll as collateral. When A demanded the money back, B said that A could keep the Torah scroll instead of the money. After some time, B requested the Torah scroll back in exchange for payment of the money. He explained that he had acted this way only to stall A, as one should not sell a Torah scroll. David ben Raphael Meldola agrees with B's standpoint.
