Following a passage in the Shulchan Aruch it is asked whether someone who has rented a house outside of Palestine to live in for one or two years is immediately or only after 30 days obligated to affix mezuzahs. Moses ben David Rodrigues Lopes decides that the homeowner is only obligated to do so after this time; before that, he may not even recite the corresponding blessing if he affixes the mezuzahs.
