Hirsch Summary
A and B had jointly purchased goods on credit from an out-of-town merchant for 100 florins. When they dissolved their business, they did not include the debt in the settlement because they had heard that the merchant had been murdered. The rumor was false. The merchant returned and demanded the 100 florins from A. A wanted to recover half of the amount from C, who had another partnership with B - B himself had died. C argued that B might have already paid. Moses ben Samuel Israel orders C to make the payment.
