A received a commodity from overseas, where it is known that slow weight loss occurs due to drying. When B wanted to accept the commodity, he found a 4% underweight and wanted to reduce the purchase price accordingly. Joseph Piza declares the deduction to be unjustified since B only has to pay the price paid by the other buyer. For this commodity, a 4% loss per month is nothing unusual.
