Hirsch Summary
A and B invested money in a business, and C joined the business, receiving the right to withdraw a specific sum from the business's cash register weekly for his livelihood. In this manner, C successively withdrew 3000 Denarii. When he returned from an extended business trip, the business had suffered a great loss. A and B demanded not only the withdrawn money from C but also that he bear his share of the loss. However, C accused A and B of dishonesty in business management and refused to pay. Jacob ben David Fidanque ruled that if C could prove his allegations, he would be exempt from any payment; otherwise, he must pay. If he had made an investment, he would owe A and B 1000 Denarii each; if he had not made an investment, he would owe 3000 Denarii. Leaf 58 is also missing from the Rosenthaliana.
