Hirsch Summary
Someone who traveled to Saloniki on business was given 20 and 12 Gulden by two acquaintances to redeem pledges there. He accepted the money expressly disclaiming any liability and put the money in a bag, which also contained 40 Gulden of his own. Along the way, the bag tore, causing a loss of 4 Gulden. Moses ben Samuel Izrael decides as follows: If only the friends' money had been in the bag, they would bear the loss; but since the messenger's money was also in it, the loss must be shared among all three in proportion.
