Hirsch Summary
An inquiry from Moses Rodrigues Lopes: A gave a dowry to his son-in-law. Shortly after A's death, his daughter also passed away, leaving no children. According to the marriage contract and custom (?????), in such a case, half of the dowry should go to A's heirs. However, A had creditors who could not be satisfied at his death. They now demanded half of the dowry from the heirs. Samuel ben Salomo a'Cathan agrees with the creditors.
