Hirsch Summary
On a ship where many Jews were captured by pirates, all passengers were sold into slavery. Some died, while others escaped gradually. Only a young girl remained in captivity. Eventually, with the help of a Jewish merchant (a Cohen), she managed to escape. Once they were both safe, the merchant married the girl. However, concerns about the validity of their marriage arose due to the merchant's status as a Cohen. After much time, physician David ben Jacob de Meza dismissed these concerns.
