Hirsch Summary
On a ship, a man who was seriously ill was secured to the cabin wall with ropes to prevent him from being tossed around. Unfortunately, the ship sank, and the man perished. His wife, who was saved by chance, now seeks guidance regarding her remarriage. Moses Gomes de Mesqita grants permission for her remarriage, drawing on the responses of R. Jacob Berab (No. 13). However, this permission is explicitly contingent upon approval from all Torah scholars in the city. See reference 16.
