Hirsch Summary
Samuel b. Salomo a'Cathan prohibits wearing leather shoes (Gamafchen) on the 9th of Av and Yom Kippur. However, he allows wearing leather trousers (Beinkleider) on these days. He also denies the second question regarding whether someone who is not fasting for health reasons can recite the prayers specific to that day.
