Hirsch Summary
A promised, as he was heavily indebted, to establish a partnership with B. Upon dissolution, it was revealed that A still owed B a sum of money. To free himself from his obligations to B, A proposed a new joint business venture, namely, to purchase goods that had just arrived from India in a neighboring town and were very cheap. In return, B would forgive his debt and give him half of the profit. B agreed, and both traveled together to the location. However, they returned empty-handed as they could not reach an agreement with the seller. Shortly thereafter, B secretly returned and purchased everything for himself. When A found out, he demanded debt forgiveness and half of the profit. Chija Cohen de Lara dismissed A's claim.
